Board certified in pulmonary disease, sleep medicine, and internal medicine, Dr. Rundbaken is a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Internists and the College of Chest Physicians. After earning his doctorate at Des Moines University, he completed his residency in internal medicine at Garden City Community Hospital, in conjunction with Michigan State University, and his Pulmonary Fellowship at Botsford General Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan.
Since his move to Arizona in 1997, Dr. Rundbaken has served as a general pulmonologist treating a variety of pulmonary disorders, including COPD, asthma, lung nodules, Valley Fever, and non-tuberculosis mycobacterial (NTM) infections, both of which are more prevalent in our region. When required for diagnoses, bronchoscopies are performed at Banner Health facilities. He is also the author of Valley Fever: The Silent Epidemic, a book that sheds light on this often misdiagnosed and overlooked disease.
Dr. Rundbaken schedules in-office patient visits Monday through Friday.
